The aims of Bengali Performing Arts are to advance cultural education and social cohesion among the community members living in West of Scotland to bring a lasting difference in the quality of their life. We also aim to place the arts and culture at the heart of learning and organise events to promote the idea of living in peace with others in a culturally diverse society of ours”.
The objectives of the organisation are to advance the education of the public in the arts of music, dance, song, drama, and poetry by presenting year-round concerts and public programmes, to organise workshops where the public can learn the Bengali culture and skills, and to organise social and recreational programmes to enhance social cohesion.
Our activities are to promote Bengali culture by organising year-round quality programmes reflecting all aspects of traditional Bengali culture and to organise social and recreational activities to enhance social cohesion and tackle individual isolation and loneliness by bringing people together who share a common interest in Bengali Performing Arts. To design, prepare, publish, distribute leaflets, posters, magazines and to create and maintain a database mailing list and a website are also part of our regular activities.
We, as Charitable and as not-for-profit organisation, are committed to making best use of resources available to us by ensuring high standard of quality programmes.
