I am Aditi Palchaudhuri. I am the new President of Bengali Performing Arts.
First of all I welcome BPA's new committee, all former committee members whose immense work has made BPA today's BPA. Though new as President, my association with Bengali Performing Arts goes back to quite a long time ago in fact, since I came to Glasgow in 2004. BPA works to promote diversity and equality by organising cultural programmes, events, outings. By promoting Bengali culture and as well as amalgamate it with Scottish culture we are trying to make it more acceptable and adaptive to our younger generation. There is definitely a large scope to work for this as we can see from the resemblance of thoughts as depicted in both Bengal's Rabindranath Tagore and Scotland's Robert Burn's work. B P A's events and outings give opportunities to promote local talents, to social mixing which broadens our social outlook and gives chances to help each other. I hope in future we can carry on our good work with everyone 's help and participation. I look forward to work for BPA and with your help we will be able to take this organisation to new heights. At the end I would like to thank everyone who has helped BPA in the past and will also help in future to achieve it's goal.
